The Westin Portland [Review]

Westin Portland

For our little (romantic) weekend getaway, DJ booked our stay at The Westin Downtown. When I was looking at hotels, The Nines actually caught my attention, but Westin was a nice surprise too.

Pros:
– Heart of Downtown, very central location
– Great customer service
– Uhh hello giant bathtub!!!
– Street parking available

Cons:
– No pool?
– Not much to do in the hotel itself (in terms of amenities)

The hotel is situated in the heart of Downtown and is within walking distance to major shops/malls and restaurants. Very convenient location and perfect if you’re here in Portland for the tax-free shopping!

We had a late check-in and the concierge couldn’t find our room so we waited in the lobby for about 7-10 minutes. Didn’t feel like long at all, but we were gifted two breakfast coupons (each at a value of $25) to use at the Daily Grill as a “sorry for the long wait”.

Overall fantastic stay. The price is more on the luxury end but Westin is obviously an upscale hotel chain and you really do get what you pay for. I feel like a lot of hotels now will call themselves “luxurious” but they don’t measure up at all. Westin has over 80 years of history so they definitely know what they’re doing; you can never go wrong choosing them. And no, this is not a sponsored post. +1 recommend and would come back!
