It’s all about how you wiggle your worm.

Fishing in the Okanagan

Fishing! Yes!! What were you thinking when you read that (provocative) title.

Now before I get started, I don’t fish. I don’t like fishing. And I don’t understand it. I mean the moment I swing out that fishing rod into the waters, I feel like an Olympic javelin champion, but I’m too ADHD to sit around and wait forever to actually catch a fish. That said, fishing’s not for me, but with gorgeous weather and great company, I guess I don’t really mind it as much.

We’d gone to Hydraulic Lake at first, but there were no signs of living organisms here hence we drove up to Big White instead and tried our luck in the Browne Lake.

We unfortunately still caught nothing. But definitely lots of fun and laughter just chilling with friends. Plus I’d never been to Big White in the summer time so it was adventurous! But since the boys were determined to catch dinner, we headed to Mission and gave it a shot in the Okanagan Lake.

We caught three fish in the end and called it a day. I guess fishing is an art. Takes patience and virtue. And if you’re real lucky, you’ll hit the jackpot.

See you in the next post!
