About KēSa House
KēSa House is the newest addition to 8M Collective, a hospitality management extension of Singapore’s leading property investment company – 8M Real Estate. 8M Collective focuses on curating flexible-living concepts beyond more than just a simple place to stay. Forget traditional hotels or boutique hotels. KēSa House’s integrated lifestyle accommodation is not only perfect for short, weekend staycations, it’s ideal for long-term stays as well.
Recently opened in April 2019, KēSa House is a beautifully restored heritage building with a total of 60 guest rooms under 5 different room types: Cozy, Urban, Sky, Entertain, and Studio. While certain rooms have special in-room features (such as the outdoor terrace in the Entertain room or the fully-equipped kitchenette in the Studio), all guests have access to shared spaces on the property i.e. the KēSaLounge, KēSaKitchen, and KēSaTerrace.
Getting Here
Located in Singapore’s culturally vibrant Chinatown, KēSa House is a short 8-minute walk from Chinatown MRT Station. Simply take the blue Downtown Line from Changi Airport Singapore or save some time by ordering a Grab. (Grab is a Singapore-based transportation network similar to Uber where you can order rides as well as food delivery. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes; 30 with traffic.)
Check-In
At KēSa House, check-in begins at 3:00PM in the KēSaLobby. Do note that KēSa House is not a hotel. That said, their integrated check-in space also serves as a public lounge for guests and conveys a very relaxed, intimate sense of community.
Entertain Room
As mentioned above, there are five different room types with the Entertain being an idyllic sanctuary featuring a private outdoor terrace. Every room on the property has been thoughtfully arranged to incorporate innovative smart space solutions thereby maximizing each room’s layout. For example, the bed frame has a shoe rack design on both sides as well as additional space at the foot of the bed for luggage storing.
Standard double bed.
Heartwarming note from the KSH team. Their keycard holder doubles as a map too!
Shared Spaces
Again, all guests have access to shared spaces on the property. These include the KēSaLounge, KēSaKitchen, and KēSaTerrace.
KēSaLounge
Shared facilities also include the use of laundry machines on the third floor.

The Affogato Lounge
The Affogato Lounge is part of the Affogato Group known for Asia’s first standalone coffee bar specializing in affogato desserts and innovative coffee brews. Located right by the KēSaLobby, their service runs from 8am to 8pm or 11pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
I highly recommend their paninis and of course, you can’t go wrong with any of their affogato treats.

Pros
- Friendly and hospitable staff
- In-room built-in adapters
- Smart storage spacing
- Shared lounge, kitchen, and terrace perfect for getting work done, cooking your own meals, or relaxing in the sun. Overall just a great space to meet new friends.
- Centrally located. Steps to restaurants and nearby famous tourist attraction sights (e.g. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple) + walking distance to MRT Chinatown station.
Cons
- I’m a clumsy gal so I personally wasn’t a fan of the big step getting in and out of the room.

This boutique hotel looks so cute ! Love the design of the shared spaces, especially that terrace. Honestly, from your photos, I didn’t believe at first that this is inside shop houses ! Definitely staying here in my next visit to Singapore ! =)
The bed looks super comfy and the terrace is adorable, so much green! But I was completely sold at the Affogato Lounge – that affogato looks so good!
This accommodation looks so luxurious compared to the hostel I stayed in Singapore. Love that it has an adorable coffee bar to start your morning right!
Looks like an interesting option. How far is it from downtown? If I am in Singapore, I would love to see all the night city lights. Would be cool to stay somewhere close.
Kesa House looks like a gorgeous place to stay in Singapore. I love how their Entertain Room has a private outdoor terrace that is set in a way that it seems you’re in some nature resort in the countryside rather than in a bustling city like Singapore. And that too, in a vibrant locale like Chinatown!
I am thrilled to read your accommodation review. We are planning to visit Singapore soon and we will definitely consider the Kesa House! I love their interior!
What an interesting concept! I haven’t seen too many hotels that combine luxury accommodation with a home-like atmosphere. I love hotels with home-away-from-home kind of a feeling and would definitely consider this hotel for my next trip to Singapore. Thanks for the recommendation
I am in love with this boutique stay. The rooms are so cosy and the bed looks so comfortable. Kesa House is a great option in Singapore and I would love to chill at the Affogato Lounge.
wooow I want to visit The Affogato Lounge!
Loved this review, especially as we have booked for 4 nights in April!
