“Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.”
I know, I know… totally behind on my weekly blogging. Haven’t even shared all the beautiful photos from my recent Rockies road trip yet and I’ve already booked another flight and am packing on the side as I draft this post. Totally not gonna be able to afford mortgage for the next ten years so feel free to donate a few cents and click on those ads in the side bar lol!
All jokes aside, over the BC long weekend here in Canada, I went on my third road trip to the Canadian Rockies!
Around 1998 was when my dad took us on our first road trip to the Rockies. Back then, there was no GPS. It was just old school maps and a compass and that was it! I was five at the time and obviously have zero recollection whatsoever. Fast forward almost 20 years later and here I was, going back for the third time and for the first time, I was the one behind the wheel. (Read about my second Rockies road trip here.)
There’s just something so mesmerizing about the skyline and mountain ranges that make the scenic drive so sooooo worth the long hours of sitting and butts going numb and all. We also stopped in Calgary for a bit although there wasn’t much to do especially since both my friend and I were on the same road trip here two years ago already.
Gonna keep this post short and sweet and I’ll see you next time in my blog about yet another road trip I’ll be taking on Labor Day long weekend!
