Seattle Through A Thousand Frames

Crab Pot Seattle

Last time I visited Seattle was for FreakNight, which you can read all about ≪here≫. And because Seattle is such a short drive away, I honestly cannot recall how many times I’ve been down there. Yet because all my visits are so purpose-oriented, whether it be shopping at the outlets, touring University of Washington, or like I’ve just mentioned, attending USC’s FreakNight event, I usually only get to see a bit of the city life. That said, since Papa Chen had some business to take care of in Seattle, my mom and I decided to follow him and head down to the States together for a quick one day trip of exploration.

We spent most of the day running errands and whatnot. In the evening, we enjoyed dinner at Crab Pot (yes, finally!) and although the seafood was alright, the experience was super fun because we got these mini hammers and you could hear thousands of carpenters in the restaurant just hammering away at their seafood.

Seattle Original Starbucks Seattle

Following that, we took a stroll in Pike Place Market. We passed by the original Starbucks, but like every other time, we were in a rush so I didn’t get the chance to line up and grab some coffee. It’s supposed to be really good and as much as I’m a tea person, I’m still waiting for my chance to sip on some of that highly raved about coffee.

Despite many failed attempts at locating the gum wall, I finally finally finally got to see it this time. I could legit smell bubble gum just standing in front of it. The scent was so strong and so pungent but unlike everyone else who thinks it’s totally gross, I thought it was pretty cool. My only regret was that I didn’t have a piece of gum on me that I could chew up then stick onto the bricks. Next time maybe, if they haven’t gotten rid of it yet.

And there you have it! A short recap on my trip down to Seattle. Not much of a wordy post, but lots of pictures and I’ll see you guys next time!!

The thought of a gum wall is totally gross but it looks pretty neat in your photos. Also didn't know about the original Starbucks, cool facts!

I thought it was cool… until I caught a cold after. I'm thinking it has something to do with being exposed to those germs and bacteria plastered all over that place, yuck!

Ughhh I did not. They were having a 50% off sale on all the mugs, EXCEPT that one. I was so heartbroken.
