You’ve probably heard of Marina Bay Sand’s famous infinity pool in Singapore. Or you’ve at least seen pictures of it on Instagram or Facebook or Pinterest, what have you. Well, for one of our nights here in Singapore, we decided to go all out and treat ourselves to a luxurious stay at this integrated resort (aka. a hotel combined with casino, high-end retail, fine dining, entertainment, etc.) that is supposedly billed as the world’s most expensive standalone casino property.

Singapore Universal Studios

I feel that the older I get, the less of a rides person I become and the more scared I am, as in my body actually can’t handle the shock. Anyone like me? Now I skipped Universal Studios at Osaka, but my friend really wanted to go check it out during our stay here in Singapore so Granny Chen here manned up and away we went!

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is, without a doubt, a must-see attraction sight in Singapore. Spanning over 250 acres of reclaimed land, this nature park plays a role in transforming Singapore into a “City in the Garden”. It is a collective park of three waterfront gardens, Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden, with the south being the biggest at 130 acres.

2015 is an exciting year for Singapore because it is the year of the Golden Jubilee. It marks the 50th year since August 9th, 1965, the day this city-state gained independence as the Republic of Singapore. And because this is such a grand occasion for celebration, year-long events take place under the campaign SG50 (Singapore50). My childhood bestie from back in the kindergarten days happened to be enrolled in a student exchange program in Singapore so I thought why not pay her a visit and see what itinerary Singapore has to offer?
